Title: Help me chose a new car/wagon
Post by: caperix on February 29, 2016, 09:54:54 AM
My BMW E46 wagon is getting close to 300K, it may be time to retire it.  I have been thinking of looking for a newer car, but am having trouble finding good candidates.  I would like a RWD/AWD hatch back or wagon with a manual transmission that gets 25+ MPG and is fun to drive.  So far the only 2 vehicles I can think of are a WRX/STI 5 door or a BMW E91 wagon.  Both are very hard to come by in my area.  Are there any other choices available in the USA that I am not thinking of? I do work as a tech for BMW so the maint. is not a big issue.  I like longitudinally mounted engines for ease of service.
