Title: NHL Playoffs
Post by: kopfjäger on April 13, 2016, 03:05:58 PM
It's been a great season, and the playoffs start tonight. I'm a Caps fan, so I'm pulling for them, but mostly for some good series from all the contenders.

Even though they barely made their way in, they still did.

This is quite an accomplishment:

Detroit hasn't been playing well for the latter part of the season.

Maybe this will be the spark they need??

Jeez Louise. 2 refs 2 linesman

Adult leagues do Texas two-man if you'd prefer to watch it 1-1

Youth uses 1 for everything
1 ref 2 linesmen is plenty.

make the beast with two backsing kids.

These dudes are bigger and faster than anytime in the sport. They need more eyes on the action.

Too many eyes makes management by committee.

I liked hockey when the players smoked cigarettes and drank.

They saw each other more times a year and if there was a beef it was real.

I don't like what the game has become.

Hate me for it. :-*

I don't hate you for it, I feel bad you're not following the game, because it's more awesome than ever. I've been watching since the 60's and have held season tickets, and I promise you this make the beast with two backsing sport is every bit or far better than it ever was.  ;)

I guess that's the thing.

I'm not seeing the more awesome than ever.

I also don't see anything that resembles sport.

There are some games that blend better with the business that sports has become than others.

Hockey isn't one of them for me.

Intense 3rd period 2-1 Pens
