New (to the US)
These are identical to the K&N filters -- K&N just repackages the HiFlo RC.
I have to assume they had a deal with HiFlo to keep the RC version out of hte US for a time and now that deal is done.
You can find them for 9-10$
They are 5 oz heavier than the standard HF153. I am sure that's a combination of the bigger filter media and the weld-on nut.
$10.24 on amazon prime

But the K&N is only $10.58

What's interesting is that Amazon says the HiFlo doesn't fit my 821 while the K&N does ???

Be interested to hear if they are free of the issues K&N are having.

it's never-ending
QuoteAgreed...very bad choice.
I am sure there was some sort of time-limited agreement in place, which is why the HiFlo RC version showed up right around the time the KN switched suppliers.
I have used the regular HiFlo for a while now wihtout incident. I was using the Baldwin and the PerfForm, but I like the HiFlo construction better. I'll be cutting into the RC model soon.
[thumbsup]

That is what I've been told, but I haven't been able to confirm.

I've been using the hi-flows for some time too.
It's what Eric uses, and Bruce was using them when he had the dealership, and it is over 10 years now since he's been out of there. I was buying them, and 10 year old Michelin DOT track tires...'cuz they were cheaper than Duc OEM filters and Michelin street tires. ;D
