I'm looking for options for a low-mount slip-on exhaust for my 2000 M900Sie, something that sounds better than stock but that isn't terribly loud. I see a lot of options for later models with high-mounts. So far, I'm considering Marving low-mounts from MonsterParts. I see some pricier Remus exhausts on ebay. There must be more out there - where should I be looking?
Marving looks good and you can't beat MonsterParts service, but of course there are more [thumbsup]
MotoWheels have Arrow and Spark.
Non sponsor, but still very good - Mivv from PJ's Parts http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_32_227_118&products_id=342 (http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_32_227_118&products_id=342)
Thanks! Agreed on the great service from Jeff at MonsterParts. I have to say, I like the look of the MIVV; they would go well with my glossy black S model!
With slip-ons like these, is it safe to assume that no other modifications are required? My bike is fuel-injected.
Cheers.
I don't know the 900 well enough to say for sure, but just slip ons are usually ok - maybe another story if you also open up the air box.
Leo Vince and Staintune too. If the Mivv are the shorties think of the volume and if db killers come with the various pipes.
You might find you need to adjust the CO trim a bit.
if not mistaken that buke's wcu is a iaw15 . . has to be done manually
Sounds like adjusting the CO trim, manually or otherwise, would mean a trip to the local Ducati shop. Does that involve running the engine with an exhaust sensor in the pipe? I do basic maintenance, like clutches, valves, and brakes, but have no tools for or experience with electronic fuel injection.
Apologies .. the IAW1.6M is done manually the IAW15M/59/5 are done via diagnostic tool . . . My bad . . . again, apologies
This might help,
