Is this a new strain of the modding disease?
I black powdercoated and painted a good number of parts, including the engine covers, rear sets, belt and sprocket covers but now I've stripped just about all of it back to stock.
Had a headwinds headlamp. Now back to the original.
I don't know what it is. Maybe the advent of the next generation monster has me nostalgic already for the first generation's look.
Anyone else done this reverse modding?
You're not serious? Kidding, right? ??? ???
Hmm... on the other hand ... hmm maybe you're on to something 8) Let me think for a while [coffee]
now that's just crazy talk...
I'm with you....in fact I've been thinking of reversing my tail chop for awhile now.
seek help immdiately. Call my therapist.
911, ask for a doctor. [roll]
WHY?!!!!!!
Well, I don't plan on going any further. I have to admit I did get the old indicators out to look at them, and laid out the old exhaust system and thought ... no, this really is crazy.
You know when people restore old bikes from 40 or 50 years ago they are usually trying to get them back to looking as original as possible. So in 40 years I guess people will be trying to make stock monsters.
true, but our bikes aren't old yet... ;)
Don't speak such blasphemy!
welll. one day it will be worth more than a modded one if you look down the pike. A long way down hte pike.
that would be like getting your wife a boob job and then having them taken out

perhaps you are subconsciously preparing your current bike for market because you want the next gen model
