Anyone remove this without throwing a CEL? Just had the 600 mi service done & ask my Ducati technician to remove it & he said removing it completely would give a CEL because of the breather valve, and even if he kept just the breather valve there, capped, it might still throw a CEL. On a side note, I spoke with Dave @ Redline Performance Motorsports on the reflash for the 1200R & he said he is working on it now, & later this year will have something for it. I told this to my technician ( who sends a lot of stuff there ) & he said the relash may allow the ability to remove the canister & not have a CEL come on. Any info on this would be great.
If you have the full termis which does not have a flapper valve I wonder if this is an issue. I was considering removing mine soon.

The 1200 R comes with the 58mm exhaust pipes already there. All you can do is buy the slip ons, which I did. The exhaust valve is there though. Not sure if that would have any thing to do with the charcoal/evap canister.

Hey Wunmi. I still have it for now but I will probably get rid of it since I don't have enough room for two bikes.

I removed the canister from my R and left the valve in place and plugged off, but still connected electrically and it did not trigger a light.
Since the exhaust flapper wandered into the conversation, I will share that disconnecting the plug will trigger a light on the R. I removed mine completely, actuator and butterfly, and plugged the flapper shaft holes in the pipe. I used a ServoEliminator from HealTech to take care of the light.
Note: I am specifically talking about an R. In spite of what some would prefer to believe, there is a difference. [roll]

U.S. list price is $18, 695 for the red; there is an additional charge for black. One can expect incentives to be offered as the model year ends.
