Title: battery box mount bolt hole spacing on 1st gen monsters
Post by: Nibor on August 07, 2016, 06:41:04 AM
can anyone confirm the size of the bolt hole spacing (centre to centre) for the battery box? this is the two tabs on the frame, that the base of the battery box mounts too. my tap measure tells me ~175mm, but my calipers are only 150mm long  :-\

wondering if anyone has measured this before or has easy access, otherwise I will borrow some tools. currently designing a billet battery box for my Shorai battery, as Koko64 has already separated and modded the airbox. might be an interesting result!

Yeah try a ruler measuring centre eye to centre eye. Having the bolt holes a mm bigger will give some wriggle room with ayout washers and strong bolts. You are in the clear with a Shorai for weight. I'll measure a spare.

I measured 176mm eye to eye on an old battery box.
