A modern classic and still so beautiful. Dont molest her! :'(
Plan is to keep it standard-ish.
Maybe a Strada single seat unit that is about it.

Yeah the monoposto looked great. [thumbsup]
Every motorcyclist should experience riding a 916. If I had real money I'd have one to ride on occasion and dry hump in the lounge room. [laugh]

They're more fun to hump at the track...just sayin'. ;D
I'd hate my SBK on the street, and it really doesn't start to handle, even at the track, until you start to push a little.
I took a 916SP through the local mountains on a test ride back in the day. It was a peak experience, first time knee down on public roads by pure accident it was that good to ride. I remember thinking that it was like cheating, knee down through a decreasing radius down hill corner with mid corner bumps. I also remember getting to the good roads from the bike shop was indeed uncomfortable in traffic and it was a warm day so I discovered the route of the exhaust..
That was 15 or so years ago, so it would kill me to commute on one now, but I now live 10 minutes from the good roads. Id get a 1098 for the track, but its all fantasy.
I nearly bought a 916 instead of Molly back in 2003. The sales guy steered me away from the 916 because he was of the opinion that the PO hadn't properly cared for it. I also almost bought a Matrix edition 998 later on.

In the city, they're all motorized leg-baking torture racks, IMO.
In areas where you can maintain decent speeds, and no signals or stop signs, they're much nicer.
Luckily I live in the countryside (and always have) so no issues apart from caravans, tractors and Sunday drivers!!!

[thumbsup] I keep moving further out of town.
Congrats Yorkie, I'm envious.
Getting the full monty service from Sigma?
Coating the pipes would be on my list as would getting a different radiator thermostat, fan switch and/or manual fan switch as I'm in Australia. Bikeboy has a good report on cam settings, flywheel, eproms, etc.
Koko64,
This has been a long time coming. £4500 for the bike!!
Just insured it with the other 2 bikes and it was £374 fully comp.

[thumbsup]
Cheers.

I bloody want one now. [laugh]
Beautiful bike [thumbsup]
Congrats! I love my '02 748s, but it's hell in town...
Congrats!!!!!!!!!! I have always wanted a 916 but owning one here is a waste.
I'm so jealous.
Collected it today and had a great ride home ...

[thumbsup] Ok. Now let's get that monoposto tail section, and remove those passenger pegs. ;)
