Title: Husband took battery without asking
Post by: Bianca on November 26, 2016, 12:19:25 PM
My husband is trying to bring his Triumph into the shop, but it won't start. He has a habit of using my Suzuki 200DR dirt bike's battery when he needs to start his bike, something that annoyed me, but I let it go. However, this morning, I walked out and saw him tinkering with my Ducati battery! This is totally off limits without my consent! What's the consensus?

Give him a mild beating and buy a new battery for your Ducati. Tell him thanks for the new battery. ;D

Buy him one of these

with his credit card, of course.

I have many things to say...

and will remain close lipped...as long as I can stand it.

Too funny. [laugh] [clap] [laugh] [clap]

That's terrible news.  I concur with a "mild" beating also  [thumbsup]
My Wife knows to stay away from my bikes and guns....period.  Proper training should ensure a desirable outcome I'm sure.  :o

Fwiw....some people pay extra for a mild beating in Vegas, so that may not be a fitting punishment.

We need Piller to comment. ;D

...and RAT's input would be welcome, as well. [I need to know which direction to travel to hear his input.] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Bianca, I think a Shorai lithium battery with Shorai charger/tender kit purchased on hubby's credit card should get the message across. It's a premium product.
While you have his card have the battery installed by a qualified auto electrician and have him check over the bike's entire electrical system just to be sure, after all, safety first. ;D

Would seriously like to know the outcome of this issue and Mr Bianca is invited to introduce himself (he is very welcome here) and share if and how he gets out of this one. ;D It could be handy to members who have spouses that also ride. I so wanna know how he gets out of this. [laugh]

Hey, at least your significant other didn't throw your bike on the ground like a certain wife of mine I could name.

A keeper for sure and a credit to you sir. I remember being greeted by Mrs Smithy in the Forum lobby and made welcome. When it comes to wives, like myself Smithy is clearly punching above his weight. ;D
