Looks bad.
It is. I was working in Chattanooga last week and you could see smoke for miles and miles. There hadn't been any rain in 70+ days until yesterday. When that front pushed into the area the winds got pretty strong which added to the problem. Gatlinburg is in a bad way today.
I have some folks a bit to the east of Knoxville in Sevierville. Hope they are OK.
Been inhaling smoke now for weeks. We finally got some rain last night and it looks like more rain tonight and tomorrow! [thumbsup]
Isaac and his family are safe, but someone they know lost their house.
Did the rain kick in?
Any more updates?
Isaac's wife said
"Thankfully, it is raining now. It started late last night, but it came with a tornado warning. The winds started 8 more brush fires, but I think everything is contained. It supposed to continue to rain throughout the day, but of course, as you know, we have to worry about mudslides and rockslides now."
Glad they are ok and the rain arrived. Tornados and mud slides sheesh.

I'm keeping up with this.
Yesterday's rain helped, but there are still pockets of areas that are in danger. If you guys want to help, I suggest donating to the Red Cross and ear marking your donation to the area.
[thumbsup] Great idea.

Be careful out there, ran across one yesterday crossing the Colorado river.
Those mountain escape clips are terrifying!
We had some wildfires here on the west side of NC as well. Isn't this where the journeyman is located?
