Which flavor of Ti?
Use one as a target and let us know how the ti holds up to the different calibers and types of bullets.
Hat brims.

Not a bad idea though.

Of course you would want this.

Rearsets. Custom rearsets, ideally 2 pairs one for my 06 M620D and one for my 2007 Sport 1000S. [evil]
[laugh]
I think 3/8 is probably not thick enough for that ;)

I don't need any brass knuckles-I left management.
It would have been so much better if you had gotten 6Al-4V.

I'll send you my address also. I recall I have a pizza due to me. I'll take a bottle opener in lieu.
A friend with a water jet cutter at work made a bunch of these & gave me one, in (approximately) 3/8" stainless:

Ti would be cooler...
I like the rearsets idea, but you know better than I do what the capabilities of the material are.
A small titanium pry bar like this would be handy:
Especially if you sold it with an incredibly over-wrought description like this: http://www.cogentindustries.com/products/prymal/ (http://www.cogentindustries.com/products/prymal/)
Are you able to do any bending operations on it, or will it just be cutting/stock removal?

Wait...someone's making bottle openers? Count me in!
;D ;D ;D
So what did you come up with?
Nada. I haven't had time to think about it.
Kind of par for the course these days. ;)
Bottle opener.

Do you have a big customer who'd buy a promotional item (like, i dunno, a bottle opener?) with their logo machined on it? Might be able to recoup your costs and build a relationship at least.

I think Ti plate might be difficult to roll into a cylinder.
That's not what Kev does, anyway. He makes chips. ;D
Hmmm...http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=75250.msg1382702#new Except in titanium ;D
I'm in. [thumbsup]
I could REALLY use some replacement chain guards for my S2R1000. The plastic ones don't hold up very well to my often misplaced heal...

That usually means that you are busy with work, which is a good thing right?
Moto related?
Maybe...
pee-cup brackets
heel guards
axle plates
swing-arm end caps (for DSS)
coffin brake/clutch covers
some kind of tail-tidy/license plate bracket or frame
No idea if any of the above is actually practical, though ;)

Too busy at the moment and just got word one of my key guys has an offer elsewhere that I can't match. I have the advantage in this race though so it's not a done deal yet.
Those knuckle bottle openers are cool. I'm not sure if 3/8 is thick enough for those but it might be.
The axle plates are really cool as well. I remember cursing the steel ones on my m900 when they twisted up and gouged the swing arm. Anyone have a stock adjuster they could send me for prototyping purposes?
We may. I'll check with B.
The "track" bike is on blocks, can't remember if the rear wheel is off or not.
How about a DMF logo thingy? Auctioned off to the highest bidder!
DMF logo'd Ti knuckle openers?

Ouch. Hope this turns out OK. I have a friend who teaches machine shop at our local community college. He says the demand for his students is high and employers are lined up to hire them. Looks like the manufacturing pendulum may be swinging back in the right direction.

You can't afford not to match it...somehow.

That would work. However, Stradafab makes those and I don't want to compete against Randy.

Likely not, but if someone wants a Ti cover he'd be the place to get it. I don't want to take any food off his table.
On the other hand, is not like we're talking thousands of covers. I'll send him an email.
I do have at least a little honor.

If he was still a sponsor, I'd be more likely to care about him losing a few covers. You continue to sponsor here, and participate.
Plenty of companies make, have made, Duc crankshaft covers.
Ask if you want, just don't give him the idea it's OK for him to use our logo.

I see where you're going there. He wouldn't use the logo without asking.
I'll have to figure out how to convert the logo into something I can machine from. I wonder if there's a bmp to dxf converter...
If I had a spare 3/8" titanium plate and a dandy camping trailer like the one in your other thread I'd make a lightweight bacon griddle.
:D
Titanium BBQ utensils with the DMF logo. Or some Tent Stakes for hiking and camping.
I like the idea of the swing arm adjusters the best, even though I dont own a Monster or even a Super Sport anymore.
Ballistic armor to protect against the Bean!
A Cameo inspired Moto friendly codpiece. (With DMF logo water jetted into it.)
Who has the original file for that DMF logo?
I'm not having any luck with just downloading the image off the website...
Also, if anyone has an axle plate. . .send it.
Not the biggest market for it, I guess, but I do need a new and better bracket for my Termis 8)
