And 1 $500 donor bike

I am still looking for a tank, rearsets are ordered, and the SS I just a thing on a stand and bits in the corner, will need a power commander ect

I'd be interested in that exhaust off the Monster.
k, im hunting for something cool
I will pm you when i get it off

the good side is found a tank, and wasnt going to use that part anyway
I wonder if you could run an external pump and filter using the old Monster tank? With stacks and pods you would have room. Mods to allow for return pressure would be a piece of cake with your skills.
The lines could be clamped up under the tank to a pump and filter clamped to the tank underside utilizing the space where the airbox was. You could weld custom clamps to fit efi pump and cheap auto filter making servicing easy. For example on a GSXR1000 we swapped the 200 buck oem internal filter for a 10 buck external filter from GM or Ford.
With the 900ie motor's hot oem cams, high comp pistons and a performance intake kit tuned with a PCV/III would make a strong bike.
Just a thought.
Thanks
Got an old 900ie tank for $90. Keeping this one simple for now. Just going to make her a runner until the other one is done

Cant beat $90 for a tank [thumbsup]

Good question since mine are bent.
thanks
euro style bars 7/8"
30" wide
5" pull back
2 1/2" rise
5 1/2"
center
If yo have for adjusters, you will need to raise 1/2" higher then stock risers, I used some blots for spacers, lol
Ive had these for awhile, powder coated bronze. Lets see if they found a home
I have adjusters and don't want to do risers, so they are out. Unfortunately I have no idea what are on the bike now, but they are (for me) comfy. The stock bars are not.
Thanks for the info [beer]
How many folks hate the short kickstand on the monster, raise your hands, (mines raised) [bang]
Heres is my bike on a multistrada stand, a little long, but its easier to remove a bit then to add a bit. Will be furthering a direct bolt on replacement, stay tuned

I actually like the Monster kick stand. I like it more with a raised rear. It will never blow over.
I always felt like it was never going to stop, as I rested it on the old stand
I understand, this is a work in progress, the multi stand is too tall. The overall foot print is bigger, I like that
the stock stand just seems too small and too small of a foot print for me. looking for the happy medium, a 10 1/2" stand, i think would be perfect for me.

My M900 has a nicely welded foot added. It raises it a little and has a more secure base.
I have another stand coming, I think the multi stand with and 1 1/2" taken out will work for me.
perfect bolt on set up, for me. 2016 monster kickstan on my 96, a little longer, and projects out a bit with a bigger pad. [thumbsup]

Looks solid. Steel or alloy?
its tube steel, very solid, and you can do the ole spin the bike around on it
Just watch out for the cases and bolt threads. Being light bikes I just grab the passenger rail and drag its arse around.
The early oem were alloy. Nice touch by the factory.
as you can see, i have shaved the passenge rails off the frame, not an issue anymore, lol
Trimmed. Funny, Im hoing back to more of a stock look as it's a Jan '94 model.

No issue spinning a 900 on it's stand, if the bolts are tight. If the bolts are loose, of course the threads will get fuxored. The real problems started in later vintage bikes, with the thinner cases, like the 848/1098. You could break that section right off, never mind damaging threads. It might have started with the Testastretta.
The "vacurial" cases are thinner ay? I'd still be careful, but that's me.
the motor is and 01 from an ss, not sure when the"thinning " occured
848 and 1100evo was the beginning of the lightened cases.
I have seen issues with both pre Evo 1100 Multistrada DS motors that I work on
(so a 100% sample of two ;D).
kewl beans, [bacon]
Got sick of waiting for GPR to came through. The last exhaust was all cadiwaumpus, sent back a month ago and no returned one
So pulled one out from the basement and repurposed it. Now i'm just waiting on a clamp [bang]
