does anyone know if there's a damper that will work on the 696. i called Ducati here in Oklahoma and they said that they don't have one out just yet, but when it does release your looking at about $1000
where in OK are you? I'm in Lawton.

Are you riding hard enough to need a damper?

I think he's talking about a rear shock, but I could be wrong. [coffee]

The main reason I was asking about the damper....
The front end seemed a little wobbly after changing lanes on the highway the other day. We were at about 80mph. I didn't even think about it until my buddy I was riding with mentioned it . Maybe the damper wouldn't help. New to the bike, I was just trying to find out more info.

If you want it, go for it. I've never felt a wobble on the interstate at constant speed (except when windy) so if its a one time thing, I wouldn't waste the money. If you keep feeling it, then I'd spend the money. But thats just my opinion. I'm sure the more experienced folk will chime in soon.
Unfortunately, with the 696 being so new, I don't know what kind of options you have.
JBubble, you were right. ;)
The 696 frame is larger diameter tubing, so bracket for the standard Monster side-mount style dampers likely won't work.
Perhaps there's an existing bracket that will work, but there's very few tube-framed bikes being manufactured, so who knows...
