Anybody see this yet? http://monster821.ducati.com/en_ww/ (http://monster821.ducati.com/en_ww/)
Both power and tq are down (112 to 109 and 65.9 to 63) to comply with Euro 4 emissions. They claim the tank and tail have been redesigned, but I can only see minor differences. The fuel capacity is also down (4.6 to 4.3 gallons). Three things I like that they changed:
1. They put the TFT color screen from the 1200 on it.
2. They addressed the crappy pegs (the earlier models' passenger pegs got in the way when you tried to ride on the balls of your feet.
3. They changed the rear tire size back to a standard 180/55/17 instead of the oddball, Rosso II only size of 180/60/17.
Is it a "new" bike, no. I can't say I'm digging the consequences of the Euro 4 standard.
It's actually more powerful - from 107 to 109.
Ducati has (probably by law) changed all the old power and torque numbers from their 'crank' numbers to homologated numbers.

The Ducati website also revised its numbers across the board.
I hadn't seen that. So there's no drop in power.
Tank appears to be steel now.

Tanks were changed to steel in 2014 when the Monster 1200 came out.
