Some interesting stuff

Here's an interesting Vanity Fair article about the "hero" car from the movie:

I've seen a few bits about the hero car in the last few days, good stuff. I love that it's basically been left untouched for the most part. Lots of folks are clamoring for it to be restored (probably to some ridiculous standard well beyond it's Day 1 condition), and I couldn't disagree more. In the movie it was intended to be a rough and tumble detective's car that's rough around the edges, it should remain that way.

I owned both a '01 and '09 Bullitt Mustang and loved them both. I don't think the '19 captures the feel quite like the '09, but based on my '15 GT it will be quite the machine.  [thumbsup]

I love the fact that it was a daily driver for the dude’s Mum who was a primary school teacher (Grade 2 or 3 I think he said).

What a cool teacher she must have been. The kids’ dads would have loved her!

I remember the 2001 edition, not the biggest fan of the body, but it seemed to be a good one too.
