Title: Billet Kickstands
Post by: Sac Monster on July 22, 2008, 02:50:14 PM
Is there still a desire out there for different length billet kickstands? We are working with Oberon to manufacture some if there is enough of you out there that still want them.

Hmm. was just talking to someone about getting a couple of these made out of 1inch thick 6061 al round rods. I guess i vouch for him to say.

07 695 1" longer than stock. Or are you doing them for the bigger monsters?

If there is a better foot on it, and it wasn't super $$$, then I would be interested also.

Me too. But apparently I need to get with the rest of the crowd's mounting design - The CycleCat stand I ordered from y'all a while ago had to be sent back - my mounting spot was not the same style hole.

I'm interested, up until the part where I gotta fork over $150. If the price is right then.....  [bacon]

+1 ...would be interested in 1" longer stand. If it ends up being to much $$$, I'll just stick to my hockey puck.

Of course I'm in. I've been waiting on someone else who was going to start making them, but never heard back. I'm looking for 1" or more. Count me in if the price is right. I know they can be pricey to make.

i assume it is since the 600/620/695 have all used the iron kickstand.

I'm possibly in, however Oberon is in England and with the exchange rate it may not be pretty when the time comes to pay for it. Clarify the price first.

Suppose i purchased a 1inch diameter rod of 6061 Aluminum and used a table grinder and shaped it. All id need to do is weld the spring catch, the foot, and the pivot bolt and im set right?

I assume a custom made one by pros would be CNC'ed, and stock ducatis are cast alluminum?

I am in would like a longer one for the S2R1K as the bike tends to lean a bit now that the ride height has been cranked up all the way.
