That was really entertaining, I never expected Cal on pole.
Top 17 riders on the grid covered by 1 second.
Factory Yamahas over 0.3s behind Zarco, that's just brutal with this field.
What’s the order?
I see that the Yamahas were having grip trouble in the heat.

Dovi would disagree with you. :P
Rod Serling couldn't write that script.
Well, technically Jorghey cut back into Pedrosa. At that point he was off he racing line. I understand it was a race incident, but Jorghey was responsible for the contact with both.

Dovi blames them both. He said that Pedrosa was in a better position since he was behind, but also said Jorghey was outside the racing line.

George was off line, and his quick cutback to the apex is what precipitated the incident.
All Dovi knows is it wasn't his fault. All he did was go wide, and stayed there, and he got taken out.

Completely agree! Jorghey cut back into the line a make the beast with two backsed everything up. Pedrosa was more in shock that it happened between these 3 since they are all very careful generally. Jorghey is not the bull in the china shop type of guy.
Racing incident, happened in a millisecond. Not sure it’s any different than countless moves of guys waiting for the guy who came in hot to clear, then go back underneath. Seen it a million times in all forms of racing. Dani never saw it because of his lean angle. It appears the Jorghey caught a glimpse of him at the last second and started to stand it up. Too late, shit happens. Real world problems and racing accidents ain’t one of them. ;) Dani took a bad hit, I hope he’s alright.
I don't disagree D.
I'm just looking at it from Dovi's perspective, and from where he sits Dani and You'reghey are douchebags. ;D
Oh no doubt he’s pissed. At least he didn’t pull a Crutchlow. :D
Dani is a class act. He was sorry the incident happened but mentioned that he was mainly sorry that it happened to Dovi who is in the middle of a championship fight. I really hope for some good karma to come his way at some point.

Not just for that, but it won't make him any friends in high places.
Very bad luck. No one did anything wrong, but unfortunately the dominos just lined up real bad. Won't help the garage atmosphere at Ducati though. Race direction deemed it a racing incident so in this strict era it's saying something. One commentator mentioned that corner lends itself to that kind of crash. Looks like a point and shoot method intersects badly with an arcing/sweeping line. Dovi was an unlucky bystander but if he'd made the pass stick he would have been clear. JL did his normal sweeping arc and went up and under Dovi then shut the door but Pedro's foot was already in it. Bloody bad luck all round.
Wow, Pedro got some air. That was a good landing for him as he'd normally be smashed to bits.
That was Miller's 7th top ten in a row. [thumbsup]
It was a really unfortunate occurrence.
It was a desperate pass for Dovi, though Lorenzo's big round lines tend to invite that sort of inside pass.
Jorge should have known that in a fight with more than 2 bikes, if 2 of you leave a door open... very often #3 will gladly oblige, as you're not often handed a 2 for 1.
Pedrosa got caught in the crossfire again.
Didn't Pedrosa profit from just such a deal recently, two guys riding out into the marbles leaving him to run away up the inside?

And he did 3 in a row on the Satellite Honda to start it off, no minor thing all by itself.

He's not making it easy for Suzuki to push him out. Rines has crashed out of 3 of the 4 races.
Dani is not happy with Race Direction:
https://www.crash.net/1/pedrosa-disappointed-race-direction-after-fall
And MM admits that he used Jorghey to block Pedrosa and Dovi:

Ribs is having a rough time just stepping over the limit it seems.
Links aren't taking for me. What's your take?
Test times from the first in season session at Jerez. Looks like Dani is good to go after that massive high side.
