Those two cheap teams risking what they need to risk to score three each - unusual and maybe a little  [bow_down]

Argentina seems to be screwed.

I feel bad for Peru. They played pretty well and should have beat Denmark.

Be nice. They did better than almost ever...  The sport needs successful Brits - no fuzz and very little hair product.

That side of the field had A LOT of hair product. It will be nice if Croatia wins, but France has looked very good throughout.

So, semi-finals is what most people predicted as Final and final is what most people predicted as semi-finals . . .

Our National team was received with a parade . . . 1 goal in favor 8 against. . . Our first world cup appearence

It has been alleged that Mexicos coach under-performed due to being distracted as he brought along both his beautiful wife and his hot little mistress. Mind not on the job or very on the job?;D

Although the Aussie team did not do that well in the soccer, they went particularly well in the melee' style kickboxing event against overwhelming numbers  [laugh]

I watched it sitting outside an Italian village bar/gelateria/pizzeria. Italy wasn't even in it this time and even though they gathered to 'watch'....  sooo arrogantly overbearing... playing with their kids,  backs facing the screen, underwhelming cheers. Noh Italia = nooooh fun.

Nothing worse than sore losers.  ;) Lots of that going around.

Except for this one senior guy, offering me the chair next to him. He must be pushing 100 years. Well, 90 at least... and looked like he could fall over at any time, but well dressed. I don't speak Italian other than a few words and he had no voice. Just a coarse whisper. We managed to almost communicate and he accepted my support for Croatia.

I'm rambling... The point is that there was absolutely no sore loser about him when I bought him a large beer. I have another friend i this village.

Things got wild after the French won I guess.

In the city of Annecy, police said a 50-year-old man fatally broke his neck after leaping into a canal around the time the final whistle blew in France's 4-2 win over Croatia, while a man in his 30s was killed in Saint-Felix after crashing his vehicle into a tree during celebrations, according to The Local.

20 years ago when Norway beat Brasil we found non-climbing people 30 feet up on non-climable objects, swimming in fountains and driving uuuunsafe in/or on cars.

I can see how wild it'd get in countries where they take football seriously...

We just celebrated our only goal as if it was the final game and we had won . . .
