There is very little damping in the stock 800 fork. If you install heavier and linear springs, the front will still compress too easily and then bounce back up, faster than it does now. Dancing bike.

Better damping is required. That means better components x$ or at least the budget option which is heavier oil.

If you get a better front you might end up wanting a better shock as well. Then you will want better brakes.

Search s2r800 fork suspension upgrade. It has been discussed.

That's a start and worth a try to see if it is enough on a tight budget. At least the new springs can be reused for plan B if required.

Stiffer spring, heavier weight oil, and *possibly* a little bit higher oil level will be the low cost avenue to improve this some. You should also look into a shock spring for your weight as well. Without more damping you might find things topping out far too often

But S2R800 suspension components are fairly budget. It might be worth it to look into a cartridge kit. That would let you spec the springs and depending on source, the valving as well. If if you can't spec the valving, going from budget damper rods to higher spec cartridge internals should make a notable difference.

OK, I'm gonna be that guy.

Just so we're clear.
We're supposed to do research on this, summarize it in an email and send it to you?
