planning on going for a ride down idyllwild over to pines to palm highway this Sunday and wanted to know if anyone from the forum was down to meet and ride.
I can't this week, but I've done it before. It's a fun ride, but was a long haul for me from OC. Left before sunrise, got home at sundown (back in like feb, 330 miles and about 10 hours total including stops and lunch. You might find more bites in the SoCal specific forum.

They change owners every year or so but the Sugarloaf Cafe just past Vista Point in Pinon Pines usually has decent eats.
you're right privateer.. definitely will post these rides up in socal specific forums. hopefully this one isn't too short of a notice..
thanks for the suggestion gnostic.. I'll be sure to try out sugarloaf cafe [thumbsup]
Is this the route that goes through the Anza mountains? That would be a great ride, driven it a bunch of times but never ridden it. I'd like to go if my bike wasn't in pieces right now haha.
Yeah this route takes you up from Palm Desert where you can either head all the way up to Idyllwild, or turn on 371 and hit Anza on your way to San Diego or Ramona. In my opinion, one of the most best riding areas in SoCal.
I did this ride a few weeks ago... I can't this Sunday though, got other things unfortunately. It is a bit of a hike for me in OC. I'd be down to do another SoCal ride sometime soon tho!
