Hi everyone. I just got here from that "other" forum which shall not be named (or returned to). It is sooooo good to see all of you are here. I just didn't recognize anyone "over there" anymore. It took me this long to figure out where you all went! (OK, I'm slow. No picking, K?)
Lessee, I'm living in Florida, riding as much as humanly possible with gas at $4.00/gallon (as if I needed incentive), been riding since 1989 (yeah, I know, some of you weren't born then), and I dig the Monsters like nobody's business (though I have an 800 cc fetish). Anyway, it's great to be here and, oh yeah, the beer! [drink] [beer] I'll even throw in some wine for those of you so inclined. [wine]
Glad you found us, what parts of Florida?
Got family (lived there) in Tampa/St. Pete
Welcome, glad you made it over here. [thumbsup] What are you riding these days?
I live in Crestview, in the Florida panhandle. Look for Pensacola on the map and travel about 45 miles east along I-10. I've got family down in Bradenton, south of Tampa around 35 miles.
I'm currently riding a (gulp) VTX1300. I switched to it because my wife was showing an interest in riding along, but wanted somewhere a bit more comfortable to sit. It proved to be a good buy becuase she comes along with me ALOT now, and we've taken some pretty long rides together. It's great having her along, and she refuses to ride one of her own. I'm actually surprised that I don't really hate riding a cruiser. It's the first one I ever owned. It's still fun, just a very different kind of fun.
The VTX is my only bike right now, but I'm saving the pennies to add a little something for me to run around solo on. Ideally, I'd like to add a M800 or M1000 (pre-S2R series) to the stable. I really dig the looks of the older ones.

That's great that your wife is enjoying the rides with you. :) Glad you are having fun. [moto]
