Title: hello there...
Post by: vinucci on July 23, 2008, 07:39:05 PM
so ive been thinking a lot on what people on here have been saying about how they wanna do trach daze and yada yada.....

so i have a proposition for them or youse' (yooz).....

the next trach daze that will be ideal for houstonites is  awgust second and third @ the moRtor spRort houstonite..... why is this ideal cos its on the freakin weekend and its in angelton maybe a half hour and a pit lane away....
so you say ok and the proposition?  well i will donate $20 up to 5 people  who are down to do that  saturday... yea out of my own pocket just to help get your ass to the muthamake the beast with two backsin track and know what its all about....

we can think of it like a feed the biker type org or something...

this is for only the first timers sorry frank jo and paul....did i forget anybody else?  [laugh]
so yea 100 bucks wow!!!!!
what do i get?
to see your happy ass smiling ear to ear and gain another track feind to share our addiction

{recap}

20 bucks to anyfive ppl who will do awgusts trach daz courtesy of don vinucci
also note that you should not sign up untilll a couple of days before the actual event due to  weather and perhaps getting the fee discounted..... yes it happens
so post a reply if you're bout it bout it

did i leave anything out ?

oh yea the organization that is hosting the event is called taxus trachdays (do the math) i mispelled certain words in this post so if they log on here and do a search for their name and or anything in regards to it,  this post wont show up....because im sure they like to know that some pppl are holding out til they do last minute discounts...hehh

so if you think im crazy wutevah!!

I would, but 1) I don't have leather pants yet ... and 2) no way I can get my bike track ready in time the way my work schedule has been.

I actually still need to pick up a few things and return stuff (whack speakers, etc.) from my party!  Thanks to all who turned out, btw!

Not to worry I got you covered. I still have Don Vinuccis' first track outfit that includes a built-in back protector.

No but really, the track outfit should have some leathers you can rent. Prepping the bike for a track day is simple, tape up the lights and WA-LA, done!  [moto]

Damon/Ducatibilt, are you finished with writing that english-vinucci translation dictionary yet?  Because it would certainly come in handy right about now...

For the local (Houston) newbies who are interested in doing trackdays, the most convenient upcoming dates are:
08/02 and 08/03 (Sat. & Sun.) - Motorsport Ranch-Houston in Angleton, TX
09/13 (Sat.) - Motorsport Ranch-Houston
09/13 and 09/14 (Sat. & Sun.) - Grand Sport Speedway in Hitchcock, TX

The 09/13 date at MSR-Houston is a "noob"-only trackday, for beginners and anyone who hasn't done a trackday.  Cost is $180, and is held by Buck Beasley's Longhorn Track School.
The other dates are with another track outfit that will have a separate "beginners" level.  And as Vince mentioned, the price has been known to "fluctuate" as the date draws closer (usually in the attendee's favor).

In the spirit of things, I will match Vinucci's offer in a way.  I will donate $50 separately to two individuals ($100 total) for the August date.  If there are no takers for August, I will push it to September's dates if it's more convenient.  I will also donate my time and truck/trailer in order to prep your bike and get it to the track, if necessary.

What do I get out it?  The same thing that Vince mentioned, to see someone else have as much fun as I do out on the track.

I love having sponser's! Put me down as a most definite maybe. Need a new front tire and I need to figure something out for leathers. How would I look in my old cordura kart racing suit?
Sorry Vince but Frank gets prime logo placement since he donated the larger amount.

I'll do it, but the only thing is that i don't think my bike will be up and running considering the ceramic coating stuff...

should I just take the 748 headers off to ceramic coating then so the monster is still ready for track day?

hmmm, well, guess the monster can always get it done later... alright, let's do it.  I don't need the cash incentives, BUT if any of you who will be out there can provide some shade and cooler space for drinks and stuff, that'd be great.  If anyone's trucking it down, it'd be nice to be able to bring my tools to your place the night before so I can have them with me at the track...
