As the subject line implies, the red key (along with the code card) for my SC is gone gone gone. Seems it was lost on one of the moves, either to New Mexico, or here to the UK. I'm looking to get the bike sorted now and wanted to know if anyone has experienced this, and what options were out there. I know the default response is replacing the ingnition set up, but that means a new dash, ecu, three sets of keys and a LOT of money going bye bye. One of the Ducati techs at the local dealer (vindis Peterborough) things he might be able to figure something out, but... Does anyone know if Nemisis is still around, and if they are still doing blank ecus for these bikes?
Can that ecu not have the immobilizer disabled with a re-flash?
No clue. What would be the best way to go about checking?

Yes, the ECU can be reflashed to eliminate the Immo.
There are firms here in the US that can regenerate a red key for you.
They would need your instrument cluster to do it.
If you want the red key to have the physical cut, you would need to send them a key.
Should be easy to get the cutting done locally, though.
IMO, go the flash rout.
Ok, good to hear. Thanks. So on the flash route, does it just disable the immobilizer? What other features will I gain and/or lose by going with that process? Also, will I be able to cut new black keys and have them work with the bike?
Any companies I should look into, or avoid in doing this?
You might check out HSBK.com They're the old Houston Superbikes, now located in Oklahoma. IIRC they did reflashes. motowheels used to do them, but I heard they no longer offer that, and since Martin passed away the place has changed.
Don't know of anyone on that side of the puddle. There has to be someone.
Immobiliizer light will still work as well as the start withi 15 seconds . You can do a DP map or custom.map to, depending on who does the flash.
Know anyone who has used Ducati Depot, or Desmo Porsche?
There's 3 pages of threads here. Search 'desmo porsche'.

Why would I do that when I could ask a simple question here? ;D
'Cuz I'm not going to read all those threads to find out. :-*
