Hi I've just brought a 2nd hand dash cluster for my bike was told that you could program it with the red key...

I am having no luck am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to do it?

No, red key can only program new blank keys.

you can get your ECU reflashed to eliminate the Immobilizer, then you can use that cluster.
