Title: Proper torque for engine bolt on 696?
Post by: puchika on July 24, 2008, 11:45:47 AM
Hi all,

I'm going to be installing frame sliders on my 696 and was wondering what the proper torque setting is for the engine bolts?

TIA

Get a workshop manual for your bike.  It will answer that and many other questions you will have about your bike as the years go by.  In other words,  I don't know.  Maybe a 696 owner can chime in.

According to my local Parts Guy (and his Service Department) the Workshop Manual for the 696 doesn't exist yet.  At least not here in the US.  Anyone know otherwise?

If your bolts are 12mm 71-81Nm would be OK
