tried to get some generic indicators but the bolt/post thing was much bigger diameter than the OEMs so they wouldn't fit in the mounts.
anyone else experienced this, or did I just pay too little?

I take it you mean the locating dowel thingo. If so, you were unlucky, I've never had that maybe just on the tight side. Can't trim them a little?
Yes. Just dremel them to fit.
not the locating pin, the actual threaded rod.
Ok, so it's not a replica part. Yeah, fat stemmed indicators require drilling out the hole, but then you can't go back to oem for whatever reason unless you can replace the bracket.
Some eBay parts have the dimensions available or you can contact the vendor. You going for oem replica part or smaller aftermarket part?
