mormons? yeah, fair point..... anyway, i was there for a bunch of days, and thought i'd post a link to the flikr set. for whatever that's worth, which is not much, seriously*. not just because SLC isn't much fun, but also because i'm not a good photographer. and also because i think my sony camera is an uncooperative pregnant dog.
*disclaimer: it would be much more fun/interesting if i was:
A) homeless
B) hardcore mountain-biker/hiker
C) harcore skiier/snowboarder
D) mormon
but seriously, it's a pretty weird/screwed up town. i wish i could have captured that in pictures better.

oh, for the record, i hit up salt lake motorsports (local ducati dealer) today before my flight, and found out that they WERE NOT OPEN! wtf.... there's a pioneer day parade (see pics) today....in which they (mormons) celebrate BY settling SLC and all that prophet jazz.... but ducati being closed because of that? that's a serious "bullshit" worthy entry in the appropriate thread. also, they had a bimota in the FRONT WINDOW, and a GSXR in the back (i checked)...so that's also somewhat WTF worthy....because (see pics) they had a 'dici in the service depot, along with a couple other interesting bikes...and they had a "bike on the wall" i found interesting. sorry for the glare from the shiny ball of hate...i had the sun on my back (and maybe a monkey).
You almost make a bummer trip sound pretty fun. ;D
Last time I was in SLC we blew up a bunch of stuff and caught all the hills in the valley on fire. And we were pretty close to the Bonneville Salt Flats and happened to catch some action out there. Seemed like an okay place. Oh yeah, and there were hot hookers crawling all over the place.

'preciate it man... i was really looking for a different shot, and the whole time i had been oblivious to the reflecting pool there. i kind of like that i kept the people in the shot...half body reflected from the pool, and half normal.

Did your head hurt after taking that shot upside down? I tried that once, and, well....
Cool pix. What's the story with all the Ferraris in the bunker warehouse?

i was wondering the same thing, actually....there wasn't anyone in there; the doors were just wide open. i probably stood around for 10 minutes snapping some pics and walking around the cars.
