Is it worth the $$$
Anyone have a map of fuel delivery.
I can’t get maps from PC anymore
I have it on one of my 696s, not on the other. The one that has it came that way from the factory, along with Termis and a K&N filter.
The DP one definitely seems to pulls harder and rev faster. May be slight, but it is noticeable to me.
I don’t have any extra maps for it though.
De-cat, Termi, open air box and DP ECU
+ 2-3 bhp
+ 8-9 Nm
I’m running no airbox, but not open cones
To me the biggest improvement a DP ecu has to offer is much improved ride-ability. The power, to me, is less important. DO IT! Good time to kill the immobilizer too.
‘00-‘01 injected 900’s don’t have an immobilizer.
To me, biggest improvement is that the DP has an adjusted timing curve. When I was dealing more with Ducati modifications, there wasn’t an aftermarket device (ie: Power Commander, et al) which could adjust the timing. They only did additional fuel. There may be one now, I don’t know...

Agreed, and no imobilizer on an 01
Air fuel mix is what I’m looking for, A) ditch the PC3, B) less wires and sh#t under the whatever

I can’t find anything, there is an option of flashing the ecu, software is easy to fin. Just don’t trust me with that, no dyno
‘02 900 ran the 5.9ecu. Ever thought of swapping over to that harness/ecu?
Doesn’t Ignitech do a stand alone ignition & fuel ecu? I thought they did...

I got confused about that on the site
Not sure what the differences are between 02 ss, I have an s2r harness, put some thought into it. Probably not a bad idea.
At this point I need to get this thing done and off the porch, lol
So I will do some homework this summer, any input is greatly appreciated
Thanks
eBay now:
Item #
273821979664
Claims is works on ‘99 SS900IE bikes & worked fine when pulled. I’ve bought many times from seller (Ed Milich) & he’s been food every time.
Pin outs for that ecu/harness vary slightly from ‘00-‘01 harnesses, so some assembly required.
IIRC: pinout differences were either clutch switch or side stand switch or both. Been a long time though.

Both of these are DP ecu’s

So far for this gen, the only one I can find is in Japan used 6 bills to my door, [bang]
This one is on eBay, just not sure it’s legit, and it’s for M900sie not 900ss

The DP ecu’s of that era/generation did have that sticker on them. I can take a photo of one for you later today. I maintain a local guys bike which is an 01 M900 and he does have the DP...
I’ll text it to you.

Do you know the mapping diff, between M900sie and 900ss by chance, or does the dp level the field
Different part numbers, 09145, 09148. The 45 being 900ssie
Was unable to get the seat off the bike, no key.
No idea on the mapping values...
