so yeah its not the real deal, but none the less....
bit pricey considering it probly just paint that makes it look like and imola special...
bloke I know just sold a real one for 110,000. I told him he should just hang it on the wall...
another bloke I know just bought a real one over the interweb for I think about 90/100,000 unseen!. then had to (well, not 'HAD' to) do a recon.
I think this bloke is playing with himself, a 750GT is and always will be a 750GT. 50k you would have to be off your tits.
Nice but not that $ amt nice :o
Wonder how that paint job would look on a monster..
nice bike alright, and good on him for stating up front that it's not genuine. there's a lot more to it than just a paint job though, when you consider the silly money genuine ones sell for and the fact that aside from the rear brake (which should be a lockheed and extremely rare) the 750SS bits are there the asking price isn't over the top. parts such as the conti's and scarab brakes were probably hard enough to get in the 80's when the bike was built! let alone today!! hell, even the desmo heads are worth serious cash, especially after bob brown has done them.
would i buy it? nope, my knees and ankles can't kick a hi compression bevel, besides, too slow nowadays, and if i wanted one i'd want a proper one.
