I go by MACE and I've been riding since 1969.
First bike was a Z-50A Honda Mini-Trail.
I live in Washington state and am a retired Mechanical Engineer.
I've always ridden dirt bikes and in the 80s-90s I rode a lot of street miles. At some point in my mid-thirties I realized that anytime I was having fun on pavement I was breaking the law and a responsible family man such as I should not be a serial offender. All that fun stuff was no problem on the dirt so I pretty much gave up street (except for a bit of dual-sport).
Ever since I saw my first 900SS Superlight, I've wanted a Ducati. I never gave in to the lust though.
Now that I'm retired and empty nested, money is not an issue...
I saw an ad for a very low mile S2R locally and figured "why not?".
So here I am.

Welcome [thumbsup]
Welcome to the board. I've got a 2006 S2R 1000 myself.
Ideally, you have access to the bikes service history. If not, get the belts & tires changed for starters, and go from there. Tons service info over in the Tech section if you need it.
Enjoy!
edit: depending on mileage, get the valve guides checked.
