Working on a Triumph Daytona 675. Among the jobs required is a rewound stator and new regulator. There have been a substantial number of failures of both components on these models.
An excellent shop (probably the best in the state) will not warranty their rewind work if a Mosfet regulator is used. I noted the caution on the invoice. Clearly a compatibility issue I was not expecting. I went with oem despite their history of failures when all other advice was to use aftermarket mosfet regs we turn to for Ducatis. Interesting..
Any thoughts?
No idea why this would be other than a possible defect in some brand of Mosfet regulator.
