I've never had a problem with starting until after checking a fe fuses. I pulled a couple to make sure they weren't popped, put them back in, and now bike won't start.
It ran fine mere minutes before that, cranked right up.
Now, fuel pump kicks on and brake light comes on. Nothing else works. Gauge cluster dead, headlight, turn signals, etc.
Battery has 12.6V, no blown fuses, battery terminals clean, no clicking relays. I'm not sure what to chase from here.
Any help appreciated.
The headlight, gauge cluster, and taillight are on the same fuse. Check that one again, and check taillight wires as they're fairly exposed.
Does the immobilizer light flash funny?
Solved - Easy fix. Multiple points of failure.
The 15A fuse was blown afterall. But replacement alone didn't solve the problem. There were loose connections leading into the fuse box. Went ahead and redid all the connections for tail light / brake light assembly as well.
16 year old bike, par for the course.
Sweet! Thanks for coming back and sharing the solution. This will help others in the futre.
