Title: 696: What can I do to get more clutch play on the lever?
Post by: Mad Duc on July 26, 2008, 05:44:49 AM
Like my 620, the clutch on the 696 tends to be very on/off with very little friction zone. How do I change this?  I loved the clutch play on the 848 and I really would love to get that on my Monster.

Thanks in advance!

The slave cylinders designed to lighten clutch pull also lengthen the friction zone about 30%.   Not a huge difference, but it is noticeable.  I did it on my 695 and haven't regretted the purchase.

I have the same problem and that is why I am looking to change the levers on my bike to adjustable levers... ebay has them for $38 the pair Clutch/Brake.  I asked the service department of the dealership where I bought my 696 and they told me that these work perfectly "Ducati Brake Clutch Levers 748 800 900 996 998 S4 RSV"
