By the way I happened to have a 2007 Motorcyclist Magazine which compared the 2006 999S vs the 2007 1098. The 2006 999S cost $19.900. By the way the 2006 999S with World Superbike Champion Doug Polen on board was faster than the 2007 1098 with Doug Polen on board. . A 999R cost bout $28,000 to $29,000 back om 2007.
