Hello all,
My name is Chris- I live in upstate SC, and have for about 16 years or so. Love the area, no intention of ever leaving. I've ridden for 25 years, plus time on dirtbikes as a kid. Most of my time has been spent on Harleys and BMWs (with a few random Hondas and Suzukis in the mix).
I've wanted something smaller/lighter to ride, and have always loved the look (and sound) of Ducatis. I've been looking for a while, and finally picked up a 2009 696. The bike is clean and unmolested- other than a tail tidy, it appears to be completely stock. Low miles as well- maintenance unknown, so I assume hasn't had much, if any.
I also enjoy working on bikes, and generally have a project or two going on. I've got a lot to learn with this bike, so we'll see how it goes. I'm excited about it. I've already done a fair bit of research, but now comes the hands on learning.
This site has the reputation of being an awesome resource, so thanks for having me.
Welcome [thumbsup]
The bike is old enough to require belts, fluids, tires, maybe valves check, chain, air filter, oil filter and ...
