Documentary: Motorcycle die-hards who previously rode around the world (a BBC special series) now ride from England to the tip of Africa (also a BBC special series, but condensed here as a movie). Offers a flimsy excuse to get out and ride to the theater along with several hundred of your closest friends. And have popcorn.

Regarding the choice of the Grapevine theater, there was a posting on TWTex about going there - easy for everybody (including west-siders) to get to.
Not to skewer anyone's sacred cow, no part of the "butter" on popcorn came from a cow... maybe not from a plant, either. :-\

So where and at what time is the group meeting? Is there a dinner/beer meet beforehand? [drink]
[beer] Wilhoite's or Esparza's in Grapevine could be good meeting spots - I would prefer Esparza's ( their Margaritas are pretty good as is the food ).
Wilhoite's has more " american" food ( the food is ok) and seems to be a popular harley - big dog chopper hangout. It would be easy to find each other at Wilhoite's because we would all be the ones with helmets ! [clap]
I could probably be at either one at 6:00 PM - Do we need to buy our theater tickets in advance? Think this will sell out ? Seems unlikely unless all the 59ers show up ! [moto] I just checked their forum & it looks like they are heading to Cinemark at Webb's Chapel & 635.
Not too keen on Wilhoit's but Esparza's is a winner - tons of parking behind the building and, yeah, their Margaritas are legendary.

ALL the theaters were sold out >:( You would think they would add an extra show or two when it sells out that fast! It's because of crap like that that I really do not feel for theaters "struggling" due to the economy or pirating. They have an opportunity to make some cash, but do not seize the opportunity.

A documentary about a movie star and some friends who rode BMWs from Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa, and yet so much more... the people they met, the genocidic horrors they unveiled and the international apathy that allowed them to take place, the simmering savagery and the omnipresent brutality of almost every aspect of life on the African continent. Incredible.
The entire epic is being aired by BBC Productions on (I think) the Speed Channel starting tonight, Aug 2. See your TV listings for time and channel. :D
