Sooooo...
We're heading out this friday to go see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, anybody else up for this? It's gonna be up at Club Dada.
Is anybody willing to shelter two young, poor, innocent ducatistas for a night?
Desmolu promises Ribs or other alternative cooking arrangements in return for a bed or a floor in which to crash!
Thanks guys!
I've got a spare queen size futon and a comfy couch. You're welcome at my place if you don't mind my black lab and the Coppell location.
[thumbsup]
If I can fit it into my (work) schedule I will be there.
Please keep us posted as to the who, what, where, how, why...

Great! The more the merrier.
It's a club dada on friday night, and I believe you just have to pay cover to get in.... :)
That takes care of the what, when where and who... As to the how, on motorcycle goodness, and the why, Because Black Rebel Motorcycle Club make the beast with two backsing rocks the shit out of anybody who sees them...
example:

good band; i only have their howl album...never seen them live though. should be a good show. and i see you already have offers for lodging, but i have a loft downtown that you're more than welcome to crash at. actually, i don't think i have shit going on friday night; maybe i'll check the show out. either way, though, i can accommodate the both of you if you don't feel like driving far...just keep the moaning to a minimum, since i have no walls and such. and someone is definitely making breakfast in the morning. unless that requires me to actually have real food (i.e. not soup) on hand.
I'm an East Dallas person, so it's pretty close to me. I don't have much planned so I might roll out to the show.

Hey that would be perfect actually! Don't worry, no moaning shall go on.. I'd love to stay with someone who would also go so its more convenient...

No moaning ???
I was not consulted about this. I don't want to go, then.
....hahaha no, of course not...this should be a fun time - looking forward to seeing all you Dallas peeps again and enjoying so rockin' goodness.

hey now...i just said "to a minimum". i shared a bunk in the army with a dude that was quite the player, and would come home now and then pretty late with a girl and neglect to give me a heads up before they started going at it. which is not to say that i still couldn't sleep...the rocking can be quite soothing, after all.
what time do you crazy kids arrive? This sounds like a happy hour to me... But where? Monk? Stoneleigh? Lee Harveys? Capital? Dubliner?

He's weird that way...
Jajajaja enough threadjacking! Sooo who's coming for real?
weird? whatever...the dude can cook the shit out of some food...i don't care what the hell he wears. lou will be around, so i can just chalk it up to something she's into. i don't care as long as there's good food involved, honestly.
btw...my apartment is....clean. no shit.

Expect good food fo sho! Don't worry about cleanliness, im pretty OCD about it, same as Lu. Although how you manage to keep your place clean while in the midst of a move, you'd have to have some pretty badass ninja skills to pull that off...
not only did i spend some time cleaning; i installed XP on a fourth hard drive...good times.
i cleaned as best i could on short notice; at the very least you've got a bed to crash in and a stove to cook me breakfast on in the morning! lou...you're great but you get leftovers i'm sorry to say...
are you out there jesus??

Dude, there's a ton of websites more suited to finding religion. ???
i thought this was a one-stop-shop?? religions are hype anyway...i'll stick to my own custom, uncomplicated philosophy.
seriously though, hope the J-man isn't having issues on the fila-mobile.
Have you checked your loft?
I was reading the latest Observer today & in Critic's Picks they were saying that Black Rebel MC had 1100 Fans at the Granada last time they were here and that they thought tonight at Dada which holds 450 was going to be a sardine-a-thon but a great show!
Just a FYI - you may want to be early & wear steel toed shoes ! Hope you find Jesus & this turns out to be a lot of fun! IMHO Black Rebel MC sounds sorta like a Honda thing [laugh] !
heading there now...had a couple things come up here...i'll post up in a bit
i just talked to jesus (:chills:) and he said they're running a little on the late side. not sure what everyone's timeline is...but it looks like we should be up at the stone p around 6:30 or so.
I'll be there a bit earlier than 630... I guess I'll put some tables together
Hate to miss this but I'm not going to be able to make it to the Big D today. :-\

Sorry we're missing our own Happy Hour - I mean, you guys needed an excuse to get together and drink, right?
Ya, we're late because we HAD to stop-off mid-way to Dallas and buy a 996. The two-up riding on my bike was just too much to handle, sooooo....expect us in an hour and 20 min with the new goodies [evil]

Bike is mechanically sound. Nothing that I didn't know when bying the bike. I spoke to jeff nash, the mechanic who did all the work to it, so no surprises there.
The issue we had was a "fastening" issue which caused a bit of a problem when I hit 100 on the freeway. But Ducatiflyboy manned up and assumed responsibility and payed por a new set of fairings.
Speaking of which, as soon as the money shows up in my account, I'll send you all the bodywork, meaning what I have here at my house, and the stuff that I bought for you.
