I can see posting all kinds of photos and all of them either have the (low tech) message like yours or something added with a good photo retouch program like PhotoShop. Maybe we should all go "participate" in a dozen or so threads over there.

And it should be worth bonus points here if you get banned over there for posting such photos. ;D

people will find us now that we're live and running. While I'm not concerned with VS being pissed at losing so many members, I would like to still be polite. In fact I have a DML link in the other forums thread.

No but after I was banned 6+ times last night they've developed some new rules over there, you can't post the same thing within 5 mins, and if anyone uses TrashyMail.com you are auto banned at registration :D

speaking of posting pics. I dont see that option in additional options. the little post photos link asks for a file location so you have to post up someplace else first. Anyway to post a Pic from a file on the desktop? :bang

Ok thanks. I forgot my flicker account info but the Tiny pic site works good just lay out the message on word pad then past the whole thing in the reply box.

i keep putting the link in my signature... so it'll show up in some 3000 places.

They deleted my signature twice, then they censored "tinyurl", so I've switched to http://doiop.com/betterboard

we'll see how long that one lasts.

nah, they just change your name to a number and lock you out of access of your account. All your posts are there and there is nothing stating to other users that you have been banned.

Banning members like this is only going to cost them in the long run.

Ya can't connect logic to the bans because it won't work. I got a warning PM for posting the name of this board (one pointer, in case you are wondering); PM'd the Admin; had a fairly cordial exchange (basically was told not to do it again because it was considered "spam"); and I was banned the next day...go figure.

I think there are 2 admins.

One thats a pretty mellow guy and another who is on a powertrip banning anything that they see as a threat.

My vid is a prime example...

One of the admins was joking with it, and the next moment I got banned without warning...

So when I posted links before to my local Ducati Owners' Club, that was considered spam? It's just a different group. It's not like anything is being sold here.

I made a new profile to use until my ban is lifted and can log-in again. I'm trying to find all the words that become embedded links and make a post using all those words. This is stupid, juvenile, and of no use whatsoever, I know. I will probably giggle like a schoolgirl when I post it. So far I've found : auto, automotive, bike, Cadillac Brougham, car, dealer, exhaust, intake, motorcycle, Mustang, performance, and Suzuki.

i posted up something inane with the key words, and only the first came up as a link. Maybe that shows how much they really DO care. They will only allow one of your words to be used as an ad.

Somebody posted about how the text link advertising sucks and that it's terrible that they took a great forum and turned it into an advertising vehicle and it put an ad link on the word vehicle. It was pretty damned funny. [laugh]
