Dock, I see that a certain something that was in your bike listing this morning has disappeared. Does this mean there has been a change of heart and you will now be getting the mighty 696 instead?

Nope no change of heart she's still on the way, just a small peek for the first few ,the 696 looks like a sweet ride any how wt: wt:
I'm liking the style, just not sure about the dash.
If I change though it won't be for a 696 I'll wait to see what they do with an 800 or 1000
True dat matty your 620 days are numbered you have a bling itch that need satisfaction ;D
Still thinking about adding a white 848 next year?
We'll see r:e) r:e)
Now dats what im talking bout wt:
Will look for a pre-loved one.
Not a pre-flogged one.
Just try to save a few $$$

I seem have to have made some new mates at a certain Ducati store after my last addition wt:
Will do and I'm sure you're very good friends now.
The guy sent me an email just to see how i was going today ;:|
To which the reply should be ... mmm OK I s'pose, but would probably be feeling a bit better if ...
Mere mortals would be milking it for all its worth - for most it doesn't last beyond delivery date
Il be milking it dont worry wt:

He is only asking how you are to get you ready for the inevitable - "sorry there has been a delay....."

Personally, I prefer the styling of the older monsters rear subframe over the new cast alloy one, and I notice in the photos that to get the exhaust routed in that nice curve over the clutch cover, both header pipes have a quite severe bend just off the exhaust ports - it looks nice, but I cant help but feel it'd surely work better with less flow restriction...
(not that I'm in the market for another monster anyway, so my opinions don't really matter, now if the new street triple comes out with a suspension upgrade like the 675 daynmas are rumoured to, that'd make choosing between a speed triple and a street triple pretty hard!)

He has already told me of the delay bumped it to December ???
But i guess the wait will be well worth it wt:
Never said I don't like the Street Triple.
It's a sweet looking thing.
but i've already got a 600 naked.

Going purely off capacity there is a little misleading - the 675 motor in the street triple makes 107hp (claimed), not much short of double what the 620 makes, it's really somewhere between a 1000 and an S4 Monster rather than a competitor to a 620.
That said, owning two naked bikes is apparently considered "strange" by some people ;D

You of all people should know Big that its not the size of the motor that counts ???
its the size of the blood vessel that connects your family joules to your heart that counts [cheeky]
I guess it's the car bloke in me still.
If I have a hatchback already and wanted another car why buy another hatch.....
One naked is great, maybe something else for a 2nd bike would be great too. ??? ???

yeah, I fully understand that, I'm pretty sure my garage needs a track bike (preferably a 748, sensibly a late model japanese 600), a dirt bike (possibly two, a crazy 450 'crosser and a big outback tourer like an XT650 to do _long_ desert trips), a supermotard, and a powercruiser (maybe a Harley with a Porche motor, maybe one of those new 'busa engined Suzuki BKings).
So including my Monster and my Spada, and the possible Triumph, I reckon I could stop at maybe 7 or 8 bikes...
big (Oh, hang on, I need a dirt tracker too, and a super cool cafe racer, and a balls-out literbike, and a turbo busa!)

Dont get me started big.. The amount of times the missus has r:e) rolled her eyes at me for dreaming up that kinda stuff, It's something we can't control... :-[
You know when I was winning the Oz Lotto last week my list was about that long.
Wife couldn't understand why I'd need 7-8 bikes.
Oz Lotto list was
848 or 1098
Speed Triple
Deus cafe racer
Tourer maybe BMW
KTM traily
KTM Super Duke II
MV Augusta of course.
But really I'd be happy if I got an 848 next.
looking @ the pics - i don't like it. to me it looks too complicated, kind of confused. bit of brutale in it as well. the tank looks too big and too chunky, the whole bike looks too heavy.........like the headlight though (on its own)
ps
i'm talking about 696

there's a girl who is selling her 748, asking 15K for it, don't know the details but can find out if you - or any one else - is interested

Hey Melvin you do know thet the head light from the CB600 will fit the current monster and it looks like the 696 one ???
But knowing the source can it still be considered bling?

It wont say honda [cheeky]
headlight looks somewhat more modern than a honda's, the bracket looks cool too. having said that, it won't go with a current model as it is too futuristic (IMO). the current model - blinged out to the max or not - looks simpler, older, more classy. and that's why i like it. i for one don't want to have a "back to the future" bike. guess i won't be buying a new series monster

My Oz Lotto list was:
Ferrari 430 Scuderia
Aprilia RSV-R
Ducati 1098r
Shelby AC Cobra
MV Agusta F4
Old school Dodge Charger or Plymouth 'Cuda
Ducati 750 Supersport (that silver and blue 77 (I think) model))
HK GTS 327 Monaro
Assortment of KTM dirt bikes and one Super Duke.
And maybe I would buy a brothel, gotta spend money to make money. [cheeky]
The list could go on and on....I'm sure I could add to it later. co::

Yeah, see, thats the problem. I can get a 5 or 6 year old Jap 600 Supersport for ~$5k, which is a small enough amount of money that I'd personally be prepared to risk throwing it all away in a big crash. $15k, while a very fair price for a 748, is somewhat out of my league for "throwaway money"...

I like your list Super.
Do still like my cars but right now all i'd like to buy is bikes.
I think the only car I'd indulge is a new BMW M3 or Audi RS4.
Aside from that I'd be bikes, bikes, bikes.

I guess you are right, but if I won that much money, there'd be a HUGE garage to put everything in and the HUGE garage would be sitting on at least 50 acres. Hoists, pits, tools, spray booth etc etc.
Agree with the Audi RS4, a beautiful machine. [coffee]
