Dumbest question possibly ever written by mankind.
Ive seen alot of fancy aftermarket clutch covers..... is this only for those that have a dry clutch? Or can anyone replace thier clutch cover with something that has holes like swiss cheese in it? When they say wet clutch, does that mean if i remove my cover some oil will spill out? I have a feeling dry clutchs are the only ones that can have the cool covers....
yup. the swanky aftermarket covers are just for the dry clutch folks. wet clutch means it's enjoying a warm, wet oil bath, and if you pull off the cover you will spill said oil, upsetting your clutch greatly.
i have seen clear covers for wet-clutch bikes (i think it was a GSXR), but i don't recall having seen one for ducatis. someone, somewhere might make one, but i wouldn't bet much on it.
You can convert to a dry clutch simply by putting on an open clutch cover though.

Well that's kinda rude...
Or, just hire a monkey to catch all the oil. ;D

I can't wait to read the the post with a subject title, "Thx Rameses". I will make sure to put my cursing filter on first.
BWAA HA HA HA!!!
Sorry, yes I'm an ass.
you could take your stouc cover off, cut out the middle, and replace it with some plexyglass. Thats what they do on the gsxr's and others. Its really not that hard if you like the look.
I thought someone like Flight cycles was in the middles of developing something like that, I remember reading a topic about this very subject a little while ago, whoever it was had a product going through it's final stages of development due to be out by the end of this year?
I would go search...... but I'm in lazy bastard mode. ;)
The Harley shop has some really cool gold eagles you could attach to the cover.
