So as some of you know, I took the plunge and ordered the HM DP cams and ECU for my S2R1K.
I realize that installing the ECU from a DS1100 will be a little different on my DS1K so I plan to fine tune it with a PCIII.
The question is, of all the PCIII's availabe for Ducatis what is the difference in the models? From what I have seen they all have the same connectors for the fuel injection so I'm thinking it's just the maps that are loaded into each one that makes them different. Is this correct?
I've also read that the newer PCIII's are only adjustable in the mid to high RPM's. Is thsi correct? If so, does anyone know which models are fully adjustable throughout the RPM range?
Thanks,
'Mash
is your S2R1k closed loop?
otherwise, I'm pretty sure any of the PCIII for monsters should work. the new, street legal one is the one that adjusts only for high-end. the other one... what's it called? like super extreme awesome PCIII or something... has full adjustability but isn't 50-state. or the older ones.
I also would like to apologise for any nonsense in this post. it's early, and I'm tired. [coffee] [coffee]
keep in mind that even tho the modules are mostly the same for the 2v monsters, the maps are not interchangeable (but since you'll be using custom maps, no biggie).

If your going to buy one, it would make the most sense to buy the one thats closest to your version of the bike. I say that only because the PCIIIs come with a wireharness, so pick up one designed for your bike, in this case, the m1000ie. Otherwise every single unit is the exact same way through out the Monster range (2v atleast)
