looks cool, as long as you dont put anything between the gap on the tank and seat???

Until the 848R comes out (if it ever does)... some other non-generic design, I´ve lost faith in Ducati. To me, the designs are starting to get a bit boring.. saying that Jony´s 1098R is exquisite. I also got a chance to sit on a D16RR on sunday.. one of the other monitors on the trackday brought his (to break it in... sweet lord does it sound like sex) which I´d definately give my left nut for.

The design above looks nice.. kinda like a Tuono and DB6R mix.

why is it that particular phrase is allways the left one?   I've never heard anyone offer up their right nut for anything.  Is the right side worth more, so it would have to be a really really cool bike to give it?

drop the bars to clipons below the top triple, put some rearsets on it, rework the bikini fairing, call it the next supersport, and maybe we can start discussing testicular trading.

Unfortunately the exhaust being formed into the rear sub frame is going to make it a pregnant dog to do a lot of mods.... that said I kinda like where this is going, but I will reserve final judgement until I see something more fleshed out and production ready. BTW with all the CF and Magnesium this is gonna be a pricey streetfighter.

With 10 new models coming out, I'm predicting a SS revival.

Made me instantly think of the Brutale.  Not sure why it just did.

Looks cool, not a fan of the swingarm though.

How possible does anyone think it is that this will actually be made? Is it just another rumor or is there substance behind it? Either way it looks awesome!

This looks like a bored designers contraption of what a bike would look like if you mix and match different parts from different bikes.  In my mind, this is probably just as likely as the pics of the 2009 R1:

There was a thread on TOB when Duacti released the news. I can't find it right now on the web, I'm at work. It was a official Ducati statement though. Bear in mind they include the 1098s and the 1098r as different models so there is two the 696 and 848 were others. They are talking about a 1098 based naked(probably this from the look).

There have been several official statements. It's supposed to be 10 new models over the next two years ('09, '10). You guys seriously don't remember this?

I'll tell you what, google: ducati to release ten new models. I did and turned up a few results. It was stated by Domenicali several times, including in the desmoblog. Maybe it was TOB, but I know it was discussed ad nauseum on forums, with speculation about what they might be. (or I guess daydreaming :))
There have been countless "unofficial" rumors including the one posted here. Most of them just bad photoshop jobs. I'm predicting new SS, some sort of ST/multistrada redesign, and a Supermono revival. Those are my "official"  ;) predictions.  [bacon]

I would have been more impressed if they had kept the full trellis frame instead of the hybrid.

My right nut is more important. It's the one that dropped the most. Too much info? ;D

The supersports should and prob will always remain 2V (who needs a 4V motor on the street when the 2Vers now make 100+ hp). I look forward to a new 2V 1000-1100cc monster along the design lines of the new 696, but with more goodies.

HOW ABOUT AN UPDATED SUPERMONO ??? ...long overdue ! KTM is ruling that niche now I'd guess....

MCN is the Weekly World News of the motorcycle industry.

IMO, the design looks WAY too much like a Tuono to be a Duc.

Yea, he has an Aston Martin concept.   [laugh]  They make a lot of bikes.

As for concepts that I really like, this is one of them.  Along the lines of the HyperFighter:

Actually more like a Bimota Hypermotard, which is actually a reasonable design.

I remembered ten...
dug a little...

'Ducati plans to launch 10 new bikes by 2010, according to an announcement made during a presentation to the firm's backers January 16. The first three are the 2008 Monster 696, 848 and 1098. Three more will follow in 2009 and four in 2010. After the Monster 696, all models will be “premium” bikes, which presumably means a larger capacity than the new Monster.'

Stolen from the TNT again ? aha
So whats the fuzz with all the corners ?
If I want a spacedesigner bike, I can buy a Kawa Z750 right away.
Or a CB 1000 R...
Come on Ducati, give us a naked 848 with nice strong lines and i am happy

i think that design thogh like someone says it looks like the aprilia is a nice design.

i know, then just get an aprilia, but it won't have the dry clutch or the desmo, which makes it a ducati.  so if that concept design becomes reality i think it would be great.  looks  a lot like a bimota.

I would LOVE to see a version of this rumored "hyperfighter" with the 848 engine.  I think that would be perfect for me, I'm used to a desmodue and hear the 1098 motor is extremely powerful.  The 848 though in a fairly upright naked would probably make me get out the checkbook.

Probably wouldn't come until after the first year though to see how people respond to the "hyper".  That seems to be their usual pattern of releasing a new line of bikes.  But if they're truly getting rid of the 4V monsters, I can't imagine there will only be a 4V naked with the 1098 motor for long.  An 848 naked could compete with a lot of other bikes on the market.  In fact I bet it would steal a lot of sales from both the Street and Speed Triple.

most people are right handed so when you reach to scratch, you don't way to feel empty space.

look at Lance Armstrong, he lost the right one and then used his anger and frustration to propel himself to 7 victories.
