I took my 696 in for service yesterday and I had 595 miles on it. The "service indicator" came on tonight while I was riding. I'm assuming that it comes on sometime after 600 miles. I have already had the service. Does anyone know how to reset it?
it comes on at 621
i think if you hold the menu selector up while turning the key from off to on, you get a Pro Mode menu that lets you reset it.... something like that at least

I found the pro mode by doing just what you said....how do you use the "pro mode"????
I called Ducati and they said they have to use a computer to reset it.
Anyone have any more knowledge on this? I got into Pro mode myself... aside from the Nationality setting, all I get is 00000 Pro. Must be some form of code input -- like the code you put in if you don't have your real key. Anyone know what the Pro Mode Code is? Am I right in thinking that's what this is? Is there a way to reset the service indicator using this method? Thanks
from what i know.. the dealer has to do it. mine did the same thing. 607 for service then on the way home PING.
errr
there is another thread about a tool that can reset it, but i can't find it. mathesis i think is the key searhc word.
the trick you are talking about i think works on the previous monster but the new digital dash ones need a computer.
WHERE is shadowchaser? he knows about all this.
Is it not in the owners manual?

what page cause i didnt see it.
The dealer told me that they need to reset it with a computer program, which of course they do not have for the 696 yet. I have been riding with the wrench for the last 700 miles and still waiting.
Apparently the VDSTS by TechnoResearch can reset the service indicator -- and do other stuff to help make the price-tag worth it. Does anyone know what kind of ECU we have? 5M or 59M?
Neither. Your 696 uses a Siemens FI system. Those numbers are Marrelli. Call technoresearch about Siemens coverage before purchasing.
