Is it necessary to bleed the brakes and the cluch fluid when installing these or can you clamp it off at the tube swap reservoirs?
they should be bled
if your good enough to do it without introducing airbubbles then your fine. but if you have to ask....then yes bleed it.
Try it, You will know right away if you need to bleed. Even the smallest air bubble will make the lever feel flat and mushy.
just bleed it... its not THAT much work...
watch out for leakage after install,,, dont overfill
I didn't bleed them last time i installed new ones ,air goes up so
What type of brake fluid do our bikes take???
What do you guys recomend for brake and clutch fluid?
DOT 4

What size resevoir are you using? I checked out the Rizoma sight but wasn't sure.
I bought (2) 26 ml bottom outflow and (1) 27mm side outflow for the front brake. You may want to go even smaller on the rear brake because it's alittle tight down there. I haven't put them on yet. If your thinking of getting them go through PJ's Parts. They are very fast.

Think they are the CT017R and 26 cc ,they are big enough for the 8 piston callipers i have so they are more than big enough for stock brakes
Thanks SuperJetDuc
Paige did ours without bleeding.. so if a girl can do it...
I bled the fronts but not the rear. I noticed that the rear brakes are a bit soft (softer than usual). Bleeding only takes a few minutes, better to be safe than sorry.
