Nothing came up on a quick search. has there been a thread on this?
anyway....i am curious if anyone has looked into
a) swapping a DS1100 into a monster
b) a big bore kit to achieve same
i would love to find out that this can be done. am i just dreaming?
If you can wait 'til spring (Daytona?), some guy is going to introduce a 1200cc, 100 ft/lbs monster motor. Expensive.
I'm pretty sure someone did a 1080.
Might have been Bruce Meyers.
Ducshop has a big bore kit for 1000 motor. I'm sure Bruce, BCM, Sea Duc, Motocorsa could do one for you.
Bruce is doing a 1080 996 4v motor right now. ;)
There was a guy here who did the 1080 kit.
for an 1100, all youd really need to do is swap the piston and heads i think. Or you can just get a stock 1100 engine. there arent too many of those though
i wonder how much hassle it would be to swap in the 1100 from a hyperM?
the engine should fit fine the heads are the same size. different bore, same stroke. Suspension and swingarm is the only thing you need to worry about.
SteveG did a 1090 kit on his M1k.

Not to my knowledge on both questions.

wonder if a hyper swingarm would work on the back of an s2r1100 8)
why wouldnt it? the swingarm mounts to the engine and if your moving an HM1100 motor, then the HM swingarm has to fit. The only question is the shock.
can anyone chime in about the shock fitment?
It's a german seller but it's a bolt on kit

i read somewhere that the heads are identical between the 1000 and 1100, same part#. i wonder if you could just do pistons, jugs, figure out the fueling and call it a day?

I think I mentioned Ducshop already but here is a link for a 1123. They also sell a 1080 kit.
