If you're like me, you pretty much love all motorcycles... Yeah, you prefer Ducatis and that's why you're here, but there is a grin factor that you can't get past even if it's an old honda CM400
I have this "thing" for Alazzurras. They are just a Ducati Pantah that Cagiva took and restyled and sold under their name when they bought Ducati. They cleaned up the electrics besides the looks. I love them, I have three in the garage now.
I got one after it had sat in a guy's barn for ages. Plenty wrong with it when I got it, the list is endless. Most of the wiring was eaten off by rats and the engine seemed ok but the gearbox would not shift. Tank was pretty rusted.
Alas, I don't have time to do a full restoration now, I just wanted to get it cleaned up and running so I could put it aside for a while. The gearbox was the only thing that was a pain.
The engine got a semi-rebuild. I just took it apart, cleaned it up and fixed the gear selector. New bearings on the crank. New gaskets and some paint and back together. Tank got acid flushed and coated inside. I had a wiring loom that I made.
Yesterday, I fired it up after 20 minutes of jerking it off. I forgot to put mufflers on it so it just roared. Twiddled with the carbs for a bit and got the mixture and idle ok and buzzed around the neighborhood on it. Fortunately, there seem to be a bunch of bike lovers around here. I just got waves.
>grin!<
Photos:
Whole bike, missing some fairings which I took off, they'll be added later. Notice the nice Corbin seat it came with.

that's what i learned to ride on. a friend and i replaced the blown motor, got it running and rode the hell out of it for a summer. just sold it a couple of months back and already told the guy we'd buy it back if he wants to get rid of it.
but yeah, love all bikes.

Tommaselli. I was trying them to see how they fit with the stock forks. I want to try to use the stock forks, but they are 35mm. Good for touring, not for track. That bike will end up on the track. Lots of goodies for it.
Loving the garage! It looks realistic. Dman I miss my garage. :'(
Now THAT'S a fine garage. [clap]

Yeah, it's got a lot of REALISM.. ROFL.. It's actually too small as I have to keep the other side open for wifey's car. I am working on some rolling platforms for works in progress.
