Title: Any Rev'it Cayenne owners?
Post by: goldenchild on August 08, 2008, 12:18:32 PM
If so...

Without the aid of electrics, what was the coldest you've ridden in your jacket?

Also -

What were the highest temps?

Thanks.

I have the Liteon - discontinued, but basically the same as the Silica. The waterproof liner is waterproof, but it feels wet because it is next to the underwear without the thermal liner. The Cayenne might be even a little more suitable for cold/wet?

With a t-shirt and fleece I have been "warm" in it for an hour as low as -5 C / 25  F. Feet and hands were cold though.
Removing the thermal lining after 10 C / 40F and I'm not bothered by the heat until 25 C / 75 F. Then I take out my Rev'it Air.

I found Rev'it to be true to size, bordering on being a little small. Sleeves are longer than a few other brands I have tried.

The adjustable collar is genius - you close it and can easily tighten it up by sliding the button on the receiving plastic part.

No help wit hthe Cayenne, sorry, but a definite  [thumbsup] on the Air for warm weather.  The long arms and big neck suit my ape like torso quite well.

I'm not all that hardcore so serious cold weather riding isn't a necessity for me.  I think my next jacket will be an Ignition, so the 45deg mornings/85deg afternoons commute in spring and fall are more comfortable...

Not an owner, so I can't help with you direct questions - but if you haven't seen it, webBikeWorld does a thorough product review on it

I'm saying +1 on the comments on the AIR jacket. I wear a size XL tshirt and a 44 suit coat. My rev'it jacket is an XXL.
