I'll try to keep up as people take this opportunity to change their identities

You don't want to know what my mother calls me...  :o

Jason is on my birth certificate.
Some friends call me J, some call me Murdoch. Most use both depending on the situation, clan affiliation, and the possible need for brevity.

Like the difference between, "Yo Murdoch. Long time no see dude. How's it going?" and
"J! YOU'RE ON FIRE!"

"Karen"

That's the name I've got at the Starbucks where I stop everyday.  Not entirely sure why I'm "Karen" there but what the hell... "GOOD MORNING, Karen; the usual bowl of super-duper, choc-full-o'caffeiney goodness triple shot latte?"

"Yes please, with a straw this time."

I mean what would happen if I told them my name was Lisa?  I imagine doom - that's for sure.

both by sons are named Lisa and they get vanilla milks at starbucks.  most likely, you'd get a vanilla milk.

I'm Dar and hubby is Dave (double-0-3).  We have matching 105 anniversary HOGs, his a Low Rider, mine a Sportster.  We have S4rs Ducs, his a '08, mine '07.  Will add to our collection when the time is right and we have a place to store them.  I would like to get a bike with a sidecar so the dog can come with us and I can dress her up.  He would like a Busa, 1098s, a touring Hog and many others I don't know about.  ;D

Can we update the list to have Taz Duc (D-Mon) = Dar and Double-0-3 = Dave?

Plus, there's talk of merging the Texas Hill Country Monsters in with DFWM... Geez, then we'd have enough people to start our own country... have our own zipcode, 7-11s.  Everything.

Yeah! secede from the Union, start our own government.

Clearly, this requires more beer and serious thought (in that order).

I'll get back to you.

I've been thinking about it some more and have decided that our LSD provional government should meet at the Dubliner evryday until our capitol building is completed, which, unfortunately, might take decades.  Maybe we can get our own designated parking spots at the D.

Well James, I'll save you the trouble of reading through all three pages of this thread and just give the Reader's Digest run-down:  the DFWM are debating a merge with the Hillbilly Honda Tricycle Club out of Baton Rouge; they're big, just haven't been able to break into the local scene quite like us Ducatisti so we're looking at a merger; shared platforms, dealer network, etc.  Sounds kinda STG but they've offered us complimentary memberships into Good Sam's, killer group-buy deals at any Cracker Barrel coast-to-coast, and some sort of abbreviated package with Triple A, so we (meaning the hip people in this group, James) have been going over the details trying to decide if this is someting that would make sense for both our respective memberships.

Watch this space - you could have a Trike in your future.

No, I wish.  Look, it's Monday... we're staring at an entire week of really crappy weather starting tonight, so yeah, just a little antsy and taking my boredom out on the good people of the DFWM/THCM/LSD, or whatever we're calling ourselves now.

Sorry for the confusion, y'all.

Carry on.

Not to get off topic but...

My mother calls me Francis.
"But everybody calls me Psycho.
Any of you guys call me Francis, and I'll kill you.
And I don't like nobody touching my stuff! So just keep your meat hooks off.
If I catch any of you guys in my stuff, I'll kill you.
Also, I don't like nobody touching me.
Now, any of you h***s...
...touch me, and I'll kill you."
So what I'm trying to say is that you can call me mike.

What's your schedule?

I'll be in town in August. I suppose you don't have to postpone that long.

I actually got to stop in on Friday Night (wedding to attend) and went to the Old Monk with a friend who works in Dallas.

On the relative scale of bars, where does this rank - I had a good time.

Good, my friend Sarah (a friend from Nashville now living in Dallas) has never lead me wrong, but since she is also a transplant, I wasn't sure if she knew where was really good yet

What's your schedule?

I'm in Texas till the end of this month.  I drive back to the Gulf on 1 June.

Right now I have no set schedule, but I have tons of stuff to do.  Tomorrow I'll drive to AMS to pick up Francesca (she's a real monster) and run a few chores in town.  Anyone up for lunch?

As far as cigars and  [drink] I'm open any day except Sundays, though I would like to nail down a day so I can schedule my other stuff too.

How about this weekend?

Never been to Lee Harvey's.  Do they have good parking for bikes?  Do they allow cigars?  Anyone up for Lee Harvey's this Saturday?

Are you asking rhetorical questions?

here's a couple for you...

If a cow laughed, would milk come out her nose?

If you're in a vehicle going the speed of light, what happens when you turn on the headlights?
