Title: Ducati Sport Classics Customized
Post by: Travman on August 10, 2008, 04:06:30 PM
Every few months I get the urge to buy a Ducati Sport Classic and start customizing.  I like the simple army green paint job on this one.   What do you think of this look?

Err, not really my cup o´tea. I don´t like that green on a Duc. On my GS it would look ace.

I think the green works pretty well with the blacked out everything, but its just not quite the right style of bike. I've been trying to figure out what to do with mine this winter so I'll be watching this thread develop and probably blatantly stealing ideas.

Biggest thing on my list is front suspension, followed directly by wheels and brakes. I love those wire spokes, but damn are they heavy.

dude I have been wanting one like this for a while

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles___Supersport_W0QQitemZ170248269272QQddnZMotorcyclesQQddiZ2283QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item170248269272&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A1&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245.l1318

With the full fairing...  I won't buy it though, not anytime soon at least and by the time I am ready who knows what I will decide... I still like the MH900 a lot but it seems like the used bikes are getting more expensive lately, gas prices increasing demand for motorcycles? I feel like the use of cell phones and I-pods on the road is making me constantly think about selling my bike.

Edit: ok... the bike on ebay has 0 miles... but regardless the used inventory seems to be holding and increasing in price, maybe because it's mid-season combined with slightly higher demand...

I like the army green but maybe a matt finish would suit better - more rugged looking.

not bad, but i would always be humming the theme tune to "mash" whenever i went to start it up for a ride...not sure i'd like that after a while.
