Title: Does a 2002 900ss need gages to run?

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure it does.

+1  I think the immobilizer was on the entire line-up from '02 on.

Im on the verge of the deal of the century (for me at least)

But a 2000 wireing harness and ecu (or a carb swap) would make it work?

'00 injectors may be different from '02.

'00 ignition triggers may be different as well.

Dunno how the '00 and '02 harnesses are different, there may be difficulties besides ECU.

You would need a TPS to make the ECU work with carbs, that could be difficult.
Or the aftermarket adjustable carbie ignition (Greenmonster, et al), but triggers may be an issue also.

More questions than answers, sorry......

No.  2002 SS bikes were NOT immobilized.  They did the switch to the red-key-curse in 2003.
